My story sounds more like a Dateline NBC headline or maybe a storyline for a Life Time movie of the week. I was a divorced mother of 3 for 12 years. I refused to "settle" for just another husband. I wanted the real deal, the whole package or I was content to stay single forever. I fell head over heals instantly when I met him. Which shocked everyone because I am really known for being calm cool and collected. After we got married I started noticing little lies here and there, then some bigger ones were mixed in. He would lie about everything from what road we drove on to go to dinner, whether he really owned a pair of Skiis or that he had not paid/filed his taxes in 4years! Oh' but the real straw that broke the camels back was the day I found out he had faked having lung cancer! (including pretending to have radiation treatments) Who does that??? That's when I kicked him out. To my surprise I found out 5 months after we separated that not only was he living with another woman(which hurt bad enough on its own)and her children, he had been having an affair with her for over year before we separated. She and I compared notes one day on the phone. I was once again shocked by how low he really was. Apparently she wasn't though....she is still with him today.

Somehow I missed the, "you're supposed to get pregnant when I give you this" memo. I wanted to finish school, but he and his family pressured me to be someone I'm not. I realized after he "forgot" to ask off to drive to my parents for Christmas for the millionth time (we paid thousands of dollars to visit his family every year and he ALWAYS got time off) that I needed more. I'm about to finish my Ph.D. and my bf of a year is in dental school. Time to sell this and say bye bye to that old life.
